Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information St. Mark's Coptic Orthodox Church (Toronto) collects through this website, how we use it, and who we share it with. It applies to stmarkstoronto.ca and the forms, bookings, and donation pages linked from it.

We only collect what you choose to give us. This includes:

• Your name, email address, and phone number, when you submit a form - for example to book a room, request a commemoration, submit a prayer request, or ask a question.
• The content of your message or request itself.
• Basic, anonymous page-visit statistics (see “Analytics” below).

We do not collect payment information. Donations are made directly through PayPal, which handles your payment details under its own privacy policy.

We use what you submit only to do what you asked: to confirm and schedule a room booking, to pass a prayer or commemoration request to the clergy, to respond to a question, or to follow up about an event. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use it for marketing you didn't ask for.

Some forms on this site are handled by outside services we rely on to run the church office:

• Room booking requests are recorded in a private Google Sheet and emailed to church staff so bookings can be reviewed and scheduled.
• Prayer and commemoration requests are submitted through embedded Google Forms, so Google also processes that information under its own privacy policy.
• Donations are made through PayPal's own donation page; we never see or store your card or bank details.
• Livestreams and video on this site are hosted on YouTube, and location maps are provided by Google Maps - both may set their own cookies when you view them.

We don't share your information with anyone else, and never for advertising.

We use Netlify Analytics to see general traffic patterns, like how many people visit and which pages are popular. It's based on server logs, not cookies or tracking scripts, and it doesn't identify you personally.

This site remembers a couple of small things in your browser, not on our servers: your language choice (English or Arabic), and, for church staff only, a login session for the admin area. Neither is used to track you elsewhere.

Form submissions are stored with Supabase, our database provider, and kept only as long as needed to handle your request. We take reasonable care to protect it, but no online system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

Some of our ministries are for children and youth, and a parent or guardian may submit a form on a child's behalf. We use that information the same way as any other request: only to coordinate the ministry or event it relates to.

You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@stmarkstoronto.ca or calling the church office.

We may update this policy from time to time as the site changes. The date below shows when it was last revised.
